Quiet Clarity is a 2x/week letter exploring the balance between ambition and awareness.

We are always trying to do more or achieve more.
I find myself compulsively posting more, working more, or thinking about new ideas.
And there’s nothing wrong with doing those things.
But what if the reality was that the deepest peace you could find was within you all along?
And you just have to return to that source in order to experience it?
Ramana Maharshi has many beautiful quotes, but one of my favorites is that satisfaction can only be found when you reach the source.
But what is the source?
The source is the Self. It’s the awareness that is watching you do all the things you are doing in your life.
Because if you really contemplate, you'll realize you are not your thoughts, looks, actions, or ideas.
So then what are you? And that's what Ramana points us back to. We are that Self that is aware of everything going on. Through pure being, we can realize this Self. And through that, we experience true peace. Because now we simply are.
I'm finding it beautiful to spend time in nature just being. That stillness reveals something profound: You have always been complete.
You don't need to achieve more or do more or create more. You can literally just be present and at peace.
And some days, it’s harder to feel that stillness. Those are the days when the mind has existential feelings.
But on the days I’m simply present when I’m walking in nature, sitting in silence, or resting in the Self — everything feels light. The same life feels almost effortless. And everything else in my life glides too.
I’m still building the business, writing and creating (some days with lots of energy), but something as simple as starting and ending my days in silence has changed everything.
In those quiet moments, before the noise begins and after it ends, I feel it: peace was within me all along.
If you decide to try it out, let me know by replying to this email :)
